In Memory of "Aunt Lucy Goosey" Hope Fortescue

Nick Klapp, owner of WiNK Computer Service, is proud to donate services in honor of my aunt, Lucy Hope Fortescue. Lucy was blessed by the friends she made at the Marion L Shepard Cancer Center.

She was always supportive of me growing WiNK Computer Service into what it is today, and was the force behind me becoming an ECU Pirate for Life! She will always be loved and missed.

Obituary:
Lucy Hope Fortescue, 52, of the Sladesville Community in Hyde County died Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at the home of her parents. Born November 29, 1955 in Beaufort County, she was the daughter of Frank Wahab Fortescue, Jr. and Edna Earl Pittman Fortescue, who survive. She was a graduate of St. Andrews College in Laurinburg where she received her degree in History and a minor in Social Work. She later attended East Carolina University. She worked for a number of years as a paralegal with the Law Firm of Dixon, ’Doub & Duffus She later worked with the County of Pitt for a number of years and then spent some time working in geriatric care with the Hyde County Department of Social Services. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as pianist in her early years. A funeral service will be held at the graveside in Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2 p. m. on Friday.. Steve Bryan. Lay Speaker will officiate. Surviving in addition to her parents are two sisters, Laura F. Willis and husband, Rocky of Sladesville and Dottie L. Fortescue of Sladesville. Two nephews, Nick Klapp and wife, Nikki and Vincent B. Berry II all of Washington. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service and other times at her parent‘s home, 865 Sladesville Road, Scranton, N.C. 27875, Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service.
